Skills on the in the field of use of wooden materials with load-bearing capacity, in the use of tools for mechanical tests and for non-destructive tests.

Ability to identify wood and wood products with load bearing properties and their quality, to assess wooden load-bearing structures on site, to select the structural material in building sites.

Laboratory experiences: grading timber (planks and beams) and testing; determination of the stiffness and strength properties of full size structural elements. External experiences: visits to construction sites of wooden structures, and to firms.
